Rave Parties
As much as the average Goan would hate to admit it, One thing that has made this tiny state famous is the all – night, full – moon rave parties that took root here in the happy days almost 30 years ago. The parties, mostly staged around Anjuna and Vagator, evolved and developed into mainstream events attracting hardcore European and Israeli ravers gyrating to the distinctive Goa Trance. Over the Christmas – New Year Period organizers manage to get around the laws banning loud music after 10pm, but at other times the plugs regularly get pulled on parties – much on the relief of the locals.
