 Itinerary:
Day 1-2
Welcome to the airport and proceed
to Munnar.Check into the hotel.Munnar
is regarded as most pompous and excellent
hill station situated in the western
ghats at 5000 feet approximately above
sea level.It is stated to be one of
the best hill stations in kerala and
regarded as the major centre of kerala’s
tea industry. Munnar is very famous
combined with three rivers and the town
is located at the concourse alike stream
uniting with another i.e. in total three
mountain streams named Muthirapuzha,Nallathanni
and Kundala.These three streams concourse
at the heart of the town and cater all
the requirements of the colonial,tourists
and visitors.Munnar does have lakes,forests
and various tea estates with a touch
of beauty and popularity. Anaimudi is
considered to be the highest peak in
South India at the height of 2695m/8883
ft and nearby.Munnar had been the British
Government’s summer resort in the south
and used to be the most favourite summer
resort of the European colonist for
decade.
In addition to above,
there are many elegant and eye-catching
sight seeing places are the Kundale
tea plantation, Eravikulam National
Park, the High Range Club,Top Station,Muttuppetty,
Devikulam, Rajamalai,Chithirapuram,
Marayoor , Pallivasal/Pothamedu etc.
Day 03
Proceed to thekkady and later on
check into the hotel.Thekkady is stated
a paradise for natural growth of various
types of spices like blackpepper,cardamom,cinnamon
and clove.The vital attraction of thekkady
is a most versatile way of boatinbg
on the lake and the Mullai Pariyar
Dam.It generally takes to cover within
two hours to reach on the spot wherein
the visitors enjoy the glimpses of wild
animals.It is also not forgettable to
take photos of relevant scenic sights
and picturesque and moreover close pictures
can be covered with digital camera with
adjustable optical zoom for animals.Thekkady
is also known for adventure tourism
and can explore the possibilities to
foster many adventurous sights with
pleasing rememberance.The forest Department
offers and carry various programme including
Pariyar Tiger Trail,Nature Walk,Bamboo
Rafting etc. There are also the provision
for private organizations apart from
government agencies such as KTDC promoting
a very fine adventure tourism in Thekkady.These
agencies do cater and promote also Plantation
tourism which is very beneficial for
the tourists and visitors to undertake
learning followed with training for
the growth and production of various
qualities of spices made of kerala.
