Those who make the trek out here are
rewarded with Jain temples, an amazing fort,
havelis, and lots of camels. Bikaner, much
lower-key than Jaisalmer, is a good place to
arrange a camel safari. It's also near the
moderately terrifying but indisputably
fascinating "Rat Temple" at Deshnok.
